Market Insight Manager

Job Introduction

Do you know the market? An exciting opportunity has become available for a Marketing Insight Manager to deliver strategic recommendations based on the analysis of the food service market, trends and competition - These recommendations will help inform the business on market strategy, service line development and sales.

This is an ideal opportunity for strategic marketing professionals, with demonstrable experience in the food service market.

Role Responsibility

  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the foodservice market (including available resources, tools and networks within the Market Insight industry)
  • Delivery of the Market Insight strategy within the Food Platform for Sodexo UK & Ireland, particularly demonstrating the robustness of our insight in order to develop and edit service lines.
  • Establish and proactively promote Market Insight programme and capabilities both internally and externally (delivering keynote presentations at conferences/events)
  • Work with Sodexo business segments in identifying and formulating market related briefs which are relevant to segment strategy and consumer profiles.
  • Continuous market monitoring and trend updates - Implement structured data collation and reporting tools to ensure that timely data is available to all stakeholders
  • Close working relationship with culinary craft on key areas for synergy and the promotion of a food focussed culture within the business, including craft forums, internal competitions, innovation forums and PR.
  • Where required by brief, to work with key suppliers and their insight functions on product/service line development
  • Provide best in class market advisory services to functional and segment projects as required to support the both the Food Platform and Segments
     

The Ideal Candidate

  • Proven track record in delivering effective market research/intelligence and strategic insights
  • Strong Analytical, decision making and communication skills
  • Ability to interpret business challenges and therefore identify Market Insight requirements.
  • Strong Influencing skills
  • Strong written and presentation skills
  • Organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong verbal communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience of building profitable relationships
  • Proficiency in database management, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Proven Customer Care experience
