M&E Technical Field Surveyor

Job Introduction

We are currently recruiting for an M&E Technical Field Surveyor. This is a national role covering sites up and down the UK, however  we require someone who is based in South of England. We are flexible on location as the roles will cover sites up and down the UK & Ireland. The role is extremely varied and 2 days are never the same!  You will be part of a team of building fabric and M&E surveyors in the field working to a co-ordinated schedule of condition surveys and technical audits, providing works specification as required. You will perform and collate reports of surveys; these surveys will include; asset condition, remaining life, data collection, technical audit of maintenance delivery and efficacy. It includes everything from FM expertise to food development through to bid support, health and safety, and contract design and management.

Role Responsibility

  • Deliver survey and report outputs that are consistent and right first time
  • Data output that allows for simple report creation, thus maximising time in the field.
  • Ensure all data delivered meets the requirement of the client(s) both internal and external
  • Inspection and report of statutory certification as part of due diligence
  • Ad-hoc projects

The Ideal Candidate

  • You must have a formal qualification - HNC/HND in a relevant building services discipline (or equivalent) is essential
  • Extensive knowledge of M&E assets and their associated attributes
  • Extensive knowledge of building services installation and maintenance
  • Extensive awareness of legislative requirements in respect of building services installations
  • Experience within a property environment
  • IT literate – experience of using MS Office
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of client management
  • Work on own initiative and manage own time
  • Working individually or part of a wider team
  • Driving licence and geographically flexible
