M&E Shift Engineering Supervisor (Facilities Management)

Job Introduction

Sodexo is looking for a M&E Shift Engineering Supervisor to join our team at the Shell Centre in London.

The successful candidate will assist the Engineering Manager in delivering a customer focussed, cost effective and efficient hard FM service to our client by leading the shift team to deliver the services.

You'll be responsible for delivering planned maintenance, reactive maintenance and other engineering support as required in order to meet contractual and legal obligations.

Role Responsibility

  • Lead and manage the shift to deliver planned maintenance, reactive maintenance and other engineering support as required in order to meet contractual and legal obligations. 
  • Ensure health and safety standards are maintained or exceed on every task
  • Act as an authorised person (AP) in respective discipline
  • Develop product specifications & designs test procedures, recommend/develop product/process to improve system performance, develops engineering drawings and specifications from preliminary specifications
  • Lead by example in health and safety, customer service and operational delivery
  • Co-ordinate available resources to deal with the work in hand
  • Lead, coach and assist less experienced staff
  • Responsible for managing performance, recruiting and the employee lifecycle within the team

The Ideal Candidate

  • 2-3-year degree with a significant level of experience and practical work/or minimum 5 years’ experience in an M&E role in a large, complex commercial environment
  • Previous experience in building services / FM engineering environment
  • Previous experience of working as an authorised person (AP)
  • Experience of electrical, mechanical, heating, cooling, ventilation and water systems.
  • Effective communicator, both verbally and written
  • Strong health and safety culture
  • People management experience

Package Description

£45,000 - £48,000 + flexible benefits scheme + pension

Shift patterns

  • Early - 06:30 – 15:30
  • Day - 08:00 -17:00
  • Late - 13:30 – 22:30
