Lounge Chef Supervisor

Job Introduction

We currently have an opportunity for a Lounge Chef Supervisor to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a customer focused individual to join a world leading food and facilities management company, which can offer unrivalled opportunities for career progression.

Role Responsibility

  • Responsible to run the day to day kitchen operation and deputising in the absence of the Head Chef.
  •  Responsible in preparation and presentation of all menu items, to ensure that a high culinary Standard is met and that the service is prompt and efficient.
  • Ensuring the company Personal and Food Hygiene, Health and safety standards, policies and procedures are adhered at all times and monitored.
  •  To make sure specified standards of food handling and storage & Stock Rotation are practiced.
  • Support Head chef in Menu Planning & Costings  & Implementation.
  • To Deliver Team Briefings and identify the training needs of the kitchen and individuals to meet the business needs.
  • In the event of a fire alarm activation the statutory procedures are adhered to.
  • Action points arising from local or Company Environmental Health Officer visits as requested by Head Chef
  • Quality standards checks are carried out on every shift and Temperature checks are made on hot and cold food according to Company standards.
  •  To assist with special functions and other areas of service where necessary.
  • Control in all aspects, from portion control to freshness of the product presented and minimise the waste in operation
  • The Kitchen cleaning Schedule is monitored and actioned.
  • To Support Head chef in delivering required standard of food, and kitchen operation.
  • Comply at all times with the HR Staff Code of Conduct.
  • To ensure that the uniform provided is worn at all times whilst on duty.
  • Demonstrate good customer service Attitude to our Clients, Staff & Customers.
  • Responsible in maintaining a safe working environment to minimise accidents within the workplace
  • To undergo training courses and to attend any company meetings when necessary.
  • To be prepared to change work methods, patterns to ensure the smooth running of the unit operation.
  • To carry out reasonable management requests.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Excellent craft skills
  • Previous chef experience
  • Good communication skills
  • Basic Food Hygiene certificate (advantageous but not essential)
  • Good customer service skills
