Learning and Development Team Leader

Job Introduction

Working shifts from 7.45am to 4.15pm or 9.45am to 6.15pm these alternate weekly

We have an excellent opportunity to lead a team of Learning and Development Assistants on a fixed term contract covering maternity leave. The team provide a customer focused accurate and efficient Learning and Development administration service within the HR Shared Service team. The role involves coordinating the team’s daily tasks, identifying opportunities for improving processes and ensuring all work is completed within agreed timescales. This is a role suited to a people focused individual who appreciates the importance of stakeholder engagement and team performance

Role Responsibility

This role will involve leading the team, ensuring collaboration with other HR teams and maintaining strong professional relationships with 3rd party providers. Identifying ways to motivate develop and increase engagement of the Learning and Development Assistants, through designing development plans. You will conduct individual meetings, recruit new team members and induct new starters, driving engagement through a range of initiatives. This is a varied and hands on, that involves team management, Learning and Development projects and a variety of continuous improvement projects.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience of supervising a busy team
  • Experience of building strong relationships with demanding stakeholders
  • Customer service focused and committed to providing a helpful, and responsive HR service
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including excellent telephone manner 
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities and ability to identify situations which could result in potential customer complaints in order to prevent the complaint  from occurring
  • Well organised with ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Strong understanding and respect for confidentiality
  • Ability to lead a team
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office programmes
 

Package Description

Up to £30,000 + Benefits

Up to 12 month contract.
