Learning and Development Assistant

Job Introduction

With a new shared service centre in Manchester they are looking for a Learning & Development Assistant to join their team providing front line customer support to employees and managers.

Interviews will take place on either the 16 or 17 May.

Role Responsibility

  • To work collaboratively as part of the HR Shared Service Centre to provide a customer focused, accurate and efficient Learning and Development administration and query handling service
  • Provide a friendly and efficient administrative service to customers, ensuring that employees are booked onto courses
  • Undertake administration for learning and development solutions including coordinating bookings for course and trainers such as scheduling, preparing and sending joining instructions, course materials, venue booking, catering and facilitator liaison
  • Arrange any additional functions related to L&D such as graduation ceremonies
  • Use and accurately maintain systems including SAP HR
  • Maintain accurate records of “no-shows” and inform line
  • Maintain accurate register of “Train the Trainer” trained employees
  • Liaise closely with line managers
  • Liaise closely with external providers ensuring that bookings are made
  • Work closely with trainers to ensure that they have all necessary information for courses they are delivering, including training packs and attendance lists
  • Work closely with the HR Process and Intranet Specialist to ensure that courses are published on the intranet

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experienced administrator with accurate keyboard skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Customer service focused and committed to providing a helpful, and responsive HR service
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to identify situations which could result in potential customer complaints in order to prevent the complaint from occurring
  • Well organised with ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Strong understanding and respect for confidentiality
  • Good verbal and written communication skills including excellent telephone manner
  • Able to work cooperatively within a team and on own initiative
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office programmes

    Desirable

  • Experience of working in a HR Shared Service Centre or busy modern HR department
  • Experience of working in a Learning and Development team
