Laundry Assistant

Job Introduction

We are currently seeking a highly talented and driven person to work in the one of our Meath sites.

We are looking for someone with excellent organisational skills, the ability to prioritise their workload and have the ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences.

You will be working as part of a team but you will at times be expected to work independently and under your own initiative.

Role Responsibility

 1. To meet resident’s personal laundry needs, including hand washing, ironing, attaching name labels.

2. When appropriate, to launder soft furnishings and other onsite laundry.

3. To maintain laundry equipment in clean and safe working order

4. To maintain the laundry area in a safe condition and notify the Unit Manager of any safety hazards or defect equipment.

5. To notify the Manager on the need to re-order supplies (i.e. soap powders etc.)

6. To perform general cleaning duties.

7. To carry out any other reasonable duties within the overall function of the job

 

 

The Ideal Candidate

1. Practical skills to operate and adjust machinery

   2. Good attention to detail

3. The ability to work methodically and follow instructions

4. Good timekeeping skills

5. The ability to count and measure accurately

6. At least 1 years  experience in laundry and linen washing and ironing

Package Description

Laundry Assistants -2 Positions

19 hours per week flexible every second weekend on duty

Training will be provided

Garda Vetting will be needed
