Laboratory Moves Assistant

Job Introduction

We currently have an opportunity for a Laboratory Moves Assistant to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a customer focused individual to join a world leading food and facilities management company, which can offer unrivalled opportunities for career progression.

Role Responsibility

To ensure all work carried out is in strict accordance with GxP and Health and Safety Regulations and comply with GSK Site Safety and Operational Procedures

 Under supervision and with training assist with:

  • Customer laboratory ‘lighten up’ activities
  • Clearing and decontamination of laboratories, equipment and associated activities.
  • Rationalisation of equipment at Harlow, labelling equipment for disposal, storage or relocation to Ware

     

    To support the change control process by collating information and drafting the documentation for submission

    Assist with the laboratory moves and set up in Ware

    To maintain lab documentation as necessary

    To attend training sessions relating to the post and ensure training is documented in personal training file

    To perform other reasonable duties as deemed necessary

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

Essential

Education A minimum qualification of four GCSEs grades A-C including Science, Maths and English

            Good IT skills

Strong verbal communication skills.

Experience within the pharmaceutical industry

Knowledge of Health and Safety

Knowledge of databases and ordering systems

Ability to work under pressure to balance conflicting deadlines

Organised methodical and flexible approach to meet deadlines and system requirements

Experience of working in a compliance driven environment

Able to complete relevant paperwork according to principles of Good Documentation Practice

Driving licence

 

Desirable

            Experience within the facilities industry

Use of databases ordering systems

Knowledge of 5S principles
