Kitchen Porter - Part Time
Job Introduction
We are currently seeking a Kitchen Porter to work in one of our Dublin sites.
We are looking for someone with excellent organisational skills, the ability to prioritise their workload and have the ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences.
You will be working as part of a team but you will at times be expected to work independently and under your own initiative.
Role Responsibility
- Maintaining a supply of clean crockery and cutlery for use by clients in their staff restaurant
- Supporting the team in the kitchen by replenishing equipment in a timely manner
- Maintaining the cleanliness and health & safety on site by completing cleaning tasks as trained to, filling in cleaning schedules as directed and using chemicals as trained to use
- Setting up, delivering and breaking down hospitality requests
- Providing support to the kitchen team by back filling colleagues while on leave or absent from work when trained in their role
- Assisting in the receipt and decanting of deliveries as requested including inspecting deliveries for damage and taking the relevant temperature of high risk goods
- HACCP documentation completion e.g. Fridge Temperature Checks, Core Cooking Temperatures when trained to do so and raising issues when they arise
- Hazard spotting
- Any reasonable request by line manager
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience in food handling, cleaning and customer service skills.
- Knowledge of Food Hygiene or HACCP. Further training, will be provided by the organisation.
- Customer Service – a strong commitment and track record in providing a high level of customer service in a busy environment.
- Communication – good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to relate positively to customers at all level.
- Flexibility – the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team in a rapidly changing environment.
