Junior Global Category Buyer (Graduate calibre)

Job Introduction

As Junior Global Buyer, you'll support Senior Global Buyers with complex global categories activity tasks including analysis, sourcing, product range rationalisation work. 

You'll use your MS Excel and Analytical expertise to manage the reporting and analysis of projects in close collaboration with the wider team.  Highly organised with attention to detail you'll take pride in your standards of work.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Graduate calibre candidate with international exposure and some employment experience within Procurement in terns of tenders, suppliers management , to join a global multi-cultural high performing team.  You'll have a team player and collaborative working mind-set in addition to effective interpersonal and communication skills

Commercially minded with an appetite to learn and progress your future career, you'll also ideally have had some international exposure whether you have lived outside of the UK for a period of time or you may have studied in the UK from another country and wish to develop a successful career here

Service Operations is the part of our business that supports segment development by providing expertise and process standardisation across all segments. Service Operations leverages our global expertise and best practice to bring the best of Sodexo to all of our clients. It includes everything from FM expertise to food development through to bid support, health and safety, and contract design and management.

Role Responsibility

  • Deliver the data collection / reporting for the team
  • Assist in the design and implementation of category strategies which significantly improves the commercial performance at a group and regional level whilst maintaining compliance to company policy and standards and mitigating all risk.
  • Engage the different regions in an active collaboration for developing categories globally
  • Build a strong network within the Supply Management organisation in the regions

The Ideal Candidate

  • Financial and data driven - analytical reporting expertise
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel
  • Experience in supply management highly desirable
  • International experience / exposure
  • Graduate calibre with appetite for further personal development
  • Ability and experience in working in a multi-cultural and matrix environment
  • Team player with excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Financial acumen and result orientated
  • Fluency in English essential and another language is desirable
  • CIPS/ISM or equivalent qualification desirable
  • Flexible for international travel

Package Description

Competitive salary of £40,000-£45,000 plus benefits including bonus, pension, flexible benefits
