Instrument Technician (Pharmaceutical)

Job Introduction

Sodexo are currently recruiting for an Instrument Calibration Technician at a leading Pharmaceutical site in Ulverston, Cumbria. The Instrument Calibration Technician is a full time, site based role, providing pressure and temperature calibration services to the laboratories and plant.

 

Role Responsibility

We require key personnel with experience in some or all off the following skill sets:

Experience:

Time served in temperature/humidity calibration, Pressure measurement & calibration, or electrical calibration.

Qualifications:

Relevant Electrical/Electronic qualification or Measurement & Calibration qualification desired

Role/Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Managing and completing pressure/temperature calibrations within the scheduling window in a compliant manner and in accordance with GxP practices.
  • Conducting temperature and humidity checks in accordance with site requirements
  • Prioritising and completing reactive maintenance on instrumentation ensuring a minimum downtime to equipment.
  • Supporting the laboratory instrument support team with first line maintenance on all laboratory instrumentation.
  • Supporting with the management of 3rd party engineers required for laboratory instrumentation preventative maintenance, ensuring the Permit to work is in place in accordance with site requirements, Health & Safety procedures and completed with the scheduling window.

The Ideal Candidate

Desirable additional Skills and Experience:

  • Experience of working in a GxP environment
  • Experience of repairing laboratory instrumentation
  • Experience in the use of SAP/MERPs
  • Good communication and customer focussed skills
  • Good knowledge of excel and IT literate.
