IS&T Project Manager

Job Introduction

Due to a recent promotion within the team we are now looking to recruit another IS&T Project Manager to manage and deliver strategic and tactical projects. You will plan and manage small / medium IS&T projects or workstreams within larger projects to time, budget and quality. This role would suit someone with project management experience, who has worked with 3rd party providers, managed projects end to end (ideally in a multi-functional business area) and has excellent communication skills.

Service Operations is the part of our business that supports segment development by providing expertise and process standardisation across all segments. Service Operations leverages our global expertise and best practice to bring the best of Sodexo to all of our clients. It includes everything from FM expertise to food development through to bid support, health and safety, and contract design and management.

Role Responsibility

  • Manages projects within the Sodexo framework fully respecting procedures and process including Change control and Testing
  • Completes the handover of applications and systems into the business as usual support, with consideration to Service Level Agreements, Disaster Recovery Arrangements and CLEAR controls and best practice
  • Support mobilisation activities as required
  • Manages the project through all phases of the agreed solution
  • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure they are aware of project / release plans and key milestones, Initiates corrective action where necessary
  • Manage the delivery of project / release resources to ensure delivery to agreed plans.
  • Engages and directs the project team; Allocating and monitoring tasks, motivating staff and providing feedback on individual performance
  • Produces Project Documentation
  • Manages risks; Creates and maintains risk and issue logs, taking mitigating actions, establishing contingency plans and escalating to the Steering Group where appropriate
  • Produces Progress and Project Control reports for the Steering Group. Includes team meetings, weekly progress updates and Monthly Highlight Reports
  • Sets up project governance, administration and communication plan; Includes regular meetings, producing agendas, minutes and actions
  • Produces full project financials and tracks the financial status of the project, including regular reporting against budget and forecast project spend
  • Adherence to Information Security policy
 

The Ideal Candidate

Essential

  • Demonstrable project management experience working in a large corporate environment
  • Good knowledge of recognised project lifecycle methodologies, e.g. Waterfall, AGILE etc.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experienced in engaging with senior exec-level stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including skills in hosting demonstrations and training.
  • Demonstrates strong planning and organising skills.
  • Good team worker and able to work under own initiative
  • Good knowledge of best practice & standards such as ITIL, SDLC, ISO9000, ISO27001
  • Experience of managing and working with IT staff across different disciplines, third party providers, subject matter experts and business users
  • Experience in customer requirements analysis and translating to operational and functional specifications
  • Full Driving License and valid passport with ability to travel nationally and globally as & when required 

Desirable

  • Hold a professional qualification (e.g. Prince2 Practitioner or PMI-PMP).
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Understanding of Business costs and efficiencies
  • CRB / DRB Clearance (May need to obtain SC security clearance)
