IMO Technician

Job Introduction

We currently have an opportunity for a CPP Technician to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a customer focused individual to join a world leading food and facilities management company, which can offer unrivalled opportunities for career progression.

Role Responsibility

  • Liaison with the materials management team daily to discuss requirements
  • To identify and maintain suitable stock levels of general purpose reagents and solvents
  • Raise purchase orders with suppliers and ensure timely delivery and adequate provision of appropriate documentation e.g., certificates of analysis
  • Ensure timely delivery and return of materials to/from Continuous Flo/Scale up labs
  • Take delivery of and check goods received in to Stevenage IMO
  • Receive and track materials into and out of an electronic Inventory system
  • Maintain the chemical and consumable inventories in a safe and compliant manner
  • Deliver solvents and chemicals to point of use
  • Sampling of materials
  • Management of the sampling booth
  • Reporting of raw material and solvent usage upon request
  • Collection of materials from goods in
  • Fork lift truck operations
  • Management of stock control systems
  • Record temperature monitoring data as required
  • To ensure safe operation of any equipment used
  • To generate SOPs/work instructions/local method statements/risk assessments where necessary.  Ascertain any relevant quality, skill or safety requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant working instructions, SOPs and safety instructions.
  • To be responsible for maintaining a tidy and efficient working environment and for ensuring health, safety and compliance standards are met and maintained
  • To attend training sessions appertaining to the post and ensure this training is documented in your training file. Maintain own training file.
  • Drive and operate company vehicles as required
  • To ensure timely and accurate reporting of data including performance metrics.
  • To perform any other reasonable tasks as requested by the line manager.

The Ideal Candidate

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Qualified to GCSE level (A-C) in science
  • Ability to understand customer technical requirements.
  • Good customer focus.
  • Be self motivated and able to motivate others.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Experience in working in a GMP environment
  • Computer literate.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Clean driving licence
  • Counter balance forklift licence would be an advantage
  • Experience of working with solvents and chemicals would be an advantage

We are looking for a technician to support Investigational Manufacturing Operations (IMO) at the GlaxoSmithKline R&D hub site at Stevenage. Working as part of the Sodexo Technical Lab Services team, this is a great opportunity for someone who has a technical focus and a flexible attitude to be part of a dynamic team.

 

Job Introduction:

We currently have an opportunity for a Technician to join the Sodexo team. The role will involve providing IMO with specialist technical support to ensure that materials are managed and moved in an effective and compliant manner and that materials are always available for use and raw Sodexo is a world leading food and facilities management company who can offer excellent opportunities for career progression. The role will involve working alternative shifts (06.00 – 14.00) (10.00 – 18.00) (14.00 – 22.00) to provide continuous cover for IMO.
