Hospitality and Events Manager

Job Introduction

We have an excellent opportunity to join the Sodexo team on site at Brighton & Hove Football Club; the role involves managing site specific Conference & Banqueting and match day hospitality services. You will be involved in providing an excellent level of service, within deadlines and to agreed budgets, aiming to maximise the profitability of the contract.

Role Responsibility

Working with the General Manager and Deputy General Manager, you will ensure that results are reported on weekly and look to understand variances and trends to put in action plans where necessary. You will ensure that costs and expenditure in the Hospitality and C&E accounts are controlled in line with budget, utilising nominated suppliers and maximising labour productivity. This role requires someone who will continually seek ways to enhance quality through innovation and cost efficiency by monitoring performance against existing standards.

You will be planning and delivering match day operations, developing long term client relationships and managing the team to success. You will be working with the culinary team to develop appropriate menu offers across the departments and delivering a promotional calendar to attract new business. Understanding the KPI’s that are attached to the contract for retail outlets, you will ensure revenue targets are met.   • Operational knowledge, skills and experience in Hospitality & Retail Management
  • Management of a large and diverse casual team

  • Excellent communication skills both upwards and downwards, internally and externally
  • Resilience to manage multiple tasks and prioritise importance
