Head of Technical Services

Job Introduction

Reporting to the Client Relationship Director, As Head of Technical Services you will be accountable for providing functional technical services support for one of our food manufacturing clients. You will have the autonomy to utilise your engineering experience and skills and manage a highly competent workforce.
 

 

Role Responsibility

  • Act as the UK & I Contract technical  leader across the transformation agenda; specifically defining process & resourcing approach, data collection, knowledge capture and transfer, building/provision of management information and leading major innovation
  • Provide technical leadership region in order to deliver significant business growth and profitability
  • Act as a Facilities & Building Maintenance  subject matter expert for the contract client
  • Establish and effectively lead highly capable technical services teams who will deliver against the strategic objectives for the contract
  • Total annual revenue within the scope of function £5M+, 50+ workforce
  • Ensure that all technical services are being delivered in a safe, compliant, diligent and cost effective manner.
  • Become a service line of excellence to internal and external clients
  • Develop strong and profitable relationships with our clients and customers across the contract
     

The Ideal Candidate

  • Engineering qualifications/Technical background
  • Experience of having operated successfully within an outsourced B2B environment 
  • Proven experience in working across geographical boundaries and building diverse teams
  • Demonstrable track record of developing successful operational strategies across a broad portfolio of target client groups
  • Exceptional client relationship management skills
  • Development of commercially viable solutions based on rigorous techniques to understand client needs and price products/services accordingly
  • Considerable experience in sector contracting and sector technical service delivery 
  • Proven financial acumen essential with commercial experience and business acumen
  • Proven track record of initiating and leading demanding business transformation programmes
  • Proven experience of developing profitable relationships with clients
  • Proven experience in managing Civil Engineering Projects
  • Excellent communication, influencing and facilitation skills
  • High standards of numeracy and written communication, particularly sales/bid copy
  • Continuous professional development in industry/specialism
  • Ideally experience in Food Processing environment
