Head of Retail

Job Introduction

Due to continued growth within the business, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Retail. In this role you will work with teams within Service Design, Promotions, Digital & Insight, Finance, Systems and third party agencies to deliver a regional retail and  development strategy.

Role Responsibility

  • Drive the creation and execution of a Regional Retail strategy and deployment plan, identifying commercial opportunity regionally using fact based evidence and ensuring effective deployment and execution on time and to financial expectation.
  • Deploy Sodexo’s Global retail strategy and its supporting tools and systems, ensuring communication of strategy, positioning and progress to senior stakeholder groups.
  • Work across regional segment teams to ensure new retail service development is aligned to business and marketing strategy and engagement to attain Retail plan objectives.
  • Develop and deploy complex retail space and planning strategies supported by operational, financial and organizational analysis to provide, communicate and implement creative approaches that allow Sodexo to optimize retail solutions and profitable growth across Regions.
  • Accountable for the development of the Regional retail pricing strategy and deliver measurable margin improvement at unit, service and country level working closely with regional teams.
  • Build strong third party relationships and agreement (Franchise, strategic partnerships and concessions)
  • Work with IST to continually improve the digital aspects of retailing
     

The Ideal Candidate

  • Extensive professional experience at a senior level in leading business-to-consumer (B2C) “Retail” projects in Retail settings.
  • Experience in sales, marketing and operations, and ideally with established brand experience
  • Advanced knowledge and expertise of business-to-consumer (B2C) retail development/deployment approaches and models, pricing strategies, principles and techniques and category management
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Effective at summarizing complex strategies and financial performance into actionable information.
  • Strong experience in the design, development and deployment of consumer-driven projects and retail business fundamentals
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong listening and influencing skills with proven effectiveness in successfully leading work streams and project teams
  • Ability to lead, manage and motivate multi-disciplinary and diverse teams
  • Proven ability to manage projects on time, on budget and to measurable outcomes
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, as well as ability to interact with and influence stakeholders at all levels of organization and with different cultures
  • Ability to work autonomously and to prioritize high volumes of work
  • High level of computer literacy
