Head of Engineering and Asset Management - Global Technical Services

Job Introduction

 

We’re looking for a Building Services SME in the Asset Management space to join Sodexo as the Global Technical Services – Head of Engineering and Asset Management. You’ll sit within Global Service Operations, who deliver technical consultancy services into Sodexo segments, and will be responsible for shaping a library of global Technical Services policy’s, processes and standards enabling us to provide a consistent level of service globally. You’ll follow policy, process and standards through to deployment, act as the principle point of contact for external accreditation bodies.

You’ll be constantly striving for service excellence and to support this will build and chair an Engineering and Asset Management forum with SME’s to review best practice, provide recommendations and make informed decision associated with the ongoing development and deployment of the platform.

To be successful in this role you’ll bring an encyclopedic knowledge of Building Services or a Build Services related discipline, you’ll understand the Asset Management industry and be able to develop and deliver policy and process documents with ease. You’ll be able to collaborate and communicate across a regionally diverse business and have the ability to lead an indirectly reporting team, your ability to influence and engage will be essential.

Role Responsibility

  • Build and deploy global Technical Services, Engineering and asset management collateral.
  • Build and deploy global AMF and Asset Management policy.
  • Evolve costing framework and tool to reflect service delivery performance.
  • Provide instruction, support and guidance to the business to aid the achievement of the compliant and standardized execution of Technical Services tasks and activities and to chair Technical Services costing Core Group.
  • Build strong internal networks across the business to maximise outreach and reinforce relationships
  • Ensure that effective communication strategy in relation to Engineering and Asset management is developed and deployed
  • To ensure documentation and plans are managed to ensure compliance to methodology and business tools
  • Define and follow the platform’s governance framework (in line with function standards) to support successful deployment of Engineering and asset Management related activities and initiatives.
  • Ensure that any issues or risks are highlighted which may impact the successful achievement of deliverables.
  • Maintain strict levels of confidentiality and comply with data protection requirements at all times. 
  • Support the Global VP Technical Services and IFM Systems Deployment to achieve agreed strategic objectives.

The Ideal Candidate

What’s essential:

  • Degree qualified in a Building Services Engineering related discipline
  • Exceptional knowledge of Building Services or buildings services related discipline
  • Industry leading Asset Management knowledge, experience and capability
  • Highly capable and credible engineering and/or asset management background
  • Detailed understanding of engineering standards and best practice
  • Operational experience and/or knowledge - Optimisation
  • Good leadership skills with the ability to lead a global team of indirect reports
  • Good experience in working in a complex business environment handling the uncertainty and challenges this includes
  • Highly organized and responsive, with ability to deliver under pressure, excellent team organization and coordination skills
  • Excellent documentation skills

Where we can be flexible:

  • Chartered Engineer
  • Higher degree (MSc) qualified in a Building Services Engineering related discipline
  • Good knowledge of project planning and coordination including use of planning tools such as MS Project or similar
  • Experience of SAP and MS Visio
