Head Chef London

We are looking to recruit a Head Chef to be based at our Munich RE contract on Fenchurch Street, London. You must have the ability to run an efficient and commercial operation as part of this team focused environment.

 

Role Responsibility

  • To ensure the prompt and efficient preparation and service of all meals to the required standard and in line with budget and to ensure compliance of all food hygiene and cleanliness standards on site.
  • Accountabilities
  • To ensure the prompt and efficient preparation and service of all meals as laid down in the contractual service level agreement
  • To ensure that the Company's administration procedures are carried out to the required standard
  • To ensure food served in the Dining Rooms are too high standard with seasonal foods.
  • To assist the GSM with planning all menus in a clear and imaginative way, according to the standards laid down by the Company and which are to the Client’s satisfaction and needs.
  • Ensure that all costs and expenditure are within the budgeted levels and in line with approved procurement vendors.
  • Control all costs such as labour, expenses, cash purchases as per with the client/contract.
  • To establish and maintain relationships with individuals at all levels within the Company and the Client organisation.
  • To demonstrate innovation in our food service offers and ensure the showcasing of new trends on site at regular intervals
  • Lead the team to ensure the prompt and efficient preparation and service of all meals and breaks at the required time,
  • To ensure that all food is prepared with due care and attention, particularly in regard to customers’ special dietary requirements: for example, nut, dairy or wheat allergies

The Ideal Candidate

  • Ability to achieve and set standards and to work to budget
  • Training and development of the team is given a focus for performance, engagement and retention
  • Deliver a food offer on trend with the high street counterparts.
  • Oversee regular promotions & food concepts/ innovations
  • Possess good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers, clients and staff to promote a team effort and maintain a positive and professional approach
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Previous experience of managing a team
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Advanced managing food safety certification)
  • 706/2 or NVQ2 chef qualification, or equivalent
