Retail Head Chef (Ascot Racecourse)

Job Introduction

We are looking for a Head Chef to support the Sodexo team at the prestigious Ascot racecourse, this role will support the Executive Head Chef in all elements of retail food delivery.

Role Responsibility

This varied role will ensure excellent feedback from the client and customer, through detailed  menus which are accurately costed and delivered to a consistently high standards. Driving team engagement you will ensure your team is given focus and training to ensure high performance and motivation. Bringing innovation to the retail food offers across the racecourse we are looking for someone that can demonstrate knowledge of current trends, whilst managing the operation. The role will involve accurate forecasting, driving standards, managing costings and team development. Working with the culinary team and the Head of Retail you will work towards best in class offers and maintaining the excellent standards across this fantastic venue.

 

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous senior role or Head Chef in a smaller operation.
  • Experience in the delivery of Retail food operations.
  • Production kitchen knowledge and/or experience.
  • Experience of working with clients in a contract catering environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of forecasting and labour modelling.
  • Staff training experience or qualification.
  • Supervising Food Safely Level 3 qualification
  • IOSH Managing Safely or similar qualification
