HR Process Lead

Please Note: The application deadline for this job has now passed.

Job Introduction

Are you from a HR background and do you have experience or a demonstrable interest in change management? If yes, this could be the role for you!!!

We have a new and exciting role that has come available as a HR Process Lead to work as part of our project team looking at changes to our payroll processes. The project includes a technical solution that is being built into SAP Payroll with interfaces to and from the Kronos Time and Attendance system

As the HR Process Lead, you will work to determine where and how things could be different at sites and in the central teams as a result of reviewing processes and define and implement appropriate actions and interventions to ensure a smooth transition from current practices to new ways of working.  You will also successfully utilise group facilitation methodology to ensure collaboration and collective intelligence are used in the design of any proposals.

This role would be ideal for someone who has worked on projects. We do offer flexible working but there will be a requirement to attend the Salford office a couple of times a week, particularly when starting in the new role, there will also be a requirement to travel to sites which could be across the length and breadth of the UK at times during the project life cycle.

Role Responsibility

  • Lead the process review in conjunction with segments (sites) and central HR teams and play a contributing role in the wider Project Team
  • Link the technical design and the process changes and develop the change management plans working alongside the HR Project Manager and Programme Manager
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders/SME’s at different levels across the organization
  • Seek innovation and have the confidence to challenge the status quo
  • Manage potential resistance to change and have the ability to convert to a willingness to engage when the job holder is trying to carry out analysis activities.
  • Recognise there won’t be a ‘one size fits all’ approach and change management plans will need to be tailored to each Segment’s needs – this will create a significant amount of complexity which must be considered in developing the appropriate actions and interventions when reviewing the process changes
  • Work alongside the HR Project Manager to conduct the Change Impact Assessment for the business. Identify where consultation with employees/unions will be required. Use the outputs to shape the Change Management plan for these areas.
  • Input to the development of the Change Management plan for the programme and then take ownership of some of the change management activities.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Exposure to HR Processes and Practices
  • Clear, concise communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to get groups of people to work together and influence their decision making
  • Strong IT skills with intermediate knowledge and use of PowerPoint and knowledge of O365 suite of tools
  •  Ability to deal with high level of ambiguity and adjust plans accordingly
  •  Ability to galvanise the support of others in supporting change
  • Experience of working within an HR Shared Services model in a complex organisation

Desirable

  • Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management
  • Generalist HR experience would be an advantage
  •  Experience of working on change management initiatives
