Role Responsibility

  • Translate People Agenda into a deliverable People Plan aligned to business strategy. Engage in thought leadership and best practice knowledge sharing to influence and challenge management thinking.
  • Change management in terms of organisational design and development and driving high performance.
  • Develop strong client relationships and ensure effective communication between senior managers and stakeholders through implementation of communication best practice
  • Work with Resourcing to create strong teams who accomplish business goals. Gain market insight and prediction of trends to shape longer term workforce planning.
  • Attract, develop and retain talent to enable future growth with accurate succession planning and internal advancement against agreed development plans. Understand the mobility of talent within UK&I.
  • Work with L&D to define competencies and career pathways for development of expertise. Understand the L&D requirements of segments to design deploy and improve service training models.
  • Facilitate increased engagement levels and IIP accreditations through close liaison with the teams and leaders. Work with central HR specialists to devise Reward and Recognition Strategies that are fit for purpose. Deliver HR calendar activity which enhances Quality of Life and diversity and inclusion.
  • Promote best practice across the business, presenting complex HR matters in a clear and concise way ensuring managers implement HR policies and practices

 

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experienced HR professional with a detailed understanding and intellectual approach to all aspects of HR Management and processes.
  • Experience of working in a trade union environment
  • People focussed, with excellent interpersonal, influencing and presenting skills
  • Strong analytical skills and proven understanding of human capital measurement and delivery of performance improvement interventions
  • Tactical and strategic thinker
  • Strong facilitation and coaching skills
  • Educated to degree level, CIPD qualification an advantage
  • Previous experience in building strong relationships across a client group
