HR (Human Resources) Administration Apprentice

Job Introduction

PeopleCentre is Sodexo’s award winning HR Service Centre based close to Media City in Salford.

We support the wider Sodexo business with all HR matters; including Recruitment, Employee Relations, HR and Payroll Administration and Learning and Development. We also manage a wide variety of systems and processes which support our employee data.

We’re looking to develop an apprentice through our HR administration opportunity. This role will give you the opportunity to gain exposure to a wide variety of HR specialisms within a global facilities management organisation.

Role Responsibility

  • Daily collection of all incoming post to People Centre along with the opening, logging, scanning and distribution of mail items to ensure swift action is taken.
  • Log all HR Administration transactions, including incoming post, on the People Centre Customer Service Management (CSM) system
  • Travel booking on our online travel portals for HR business partners and colleagues
  • Provide administrative support for bulk employee communications, data gathering, mobilisation and general office support tasks
  • Provide hands on support to other Teams when required e.g. at peak times and ad hoc projects
  • Upload information onto employee files
  • Ensure the People Centre work area is clean, secure and well maintained
  • Complete special projects and miscellaneous assignments as required

The Ideal Candidate

Skills required:

  • Ability to follow tasks through to conclusion to ensure quality and People Centre standards are met
  • Well organised with ability to work accurately to tight deadlines
  • Strong understanding and respect for confidentiality
  • Good verbal and written communication skills including an excellent telephone manner
  • Accurate keyboard and data entry skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Able to work cooperatively within a team and on own initiative
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office programmes

Personal qualities:

To be successful in this role you will need to have good communication skills (both verbally and written) and able to provide excellent customer service. Be punctual and have a can do attitude.

Qualifications required:

A-C in Maths and English GCSE and ICT or equivalent qualification.

Package Description

Please note this role requires the successful applicant to undertake a Ministry of Justice check.

Proposed start date May 2017.

About the Company

As an Apprentice you will be included on a Administration Qualification. Your Qualification will be delivered by an Award Winning Training Provider who will support your learning and development throughout your Apprenticeship. This will involve a Vocational Learning Advisor coming to visit you on a regular basis to deliver the training and guide you through your Apprenticeship.
