We are looking for an HR professional to join our corporate services team based in Cork Ireland looking after one of our Global corporate contracts. This is a 12month fixed term contract based at our Sodexo Offices in Cork.

Role Responsibility

  • To partner with site managers, account team and HR team to drive and deliver HR solutions to: maximise people performance, strategy and workforce planning, which will significantly contribute towards strengthening business performance within the contract account.
  • Following stabilisation of the account, to focus on providing support to various unit and site managers via an advisory/coaching approach in line with the current ROI HR model.
  • Employee relations: Manage union relationships where required; provide disciplinary, grievance, absence policy and process advise to account team; develop the employee relations skills of the account team by acting as a coach/mentor to them; liaise with the IR/ER Advisor to ensure consistency across the ROI business and implementation of best practice.
  • Employee development: Support the account team in driving HR processes to ensure optimum performance of the units and ensure the implementation and monitoring of the completion of employee PDRs (Performance Development Reviews); supporting the L&D team in the implementation of training requirements.
  • Reward and Recognition: Support the account team to develop, promote and utilise local and regional recognition schemes.
  • Employee engagement: Work with account team to identify opportunities to increasingly better engage employees, facilitating the diagnosis of opportunities and the development and delivery of practical action plans to achieve higher engagement levels; work with account team in the development of engagement workshops specific to each site.
  • Workforce planning, talent & succession: Create and lead the implementation of workforce planning, talent management and succession planning processes.
  • Ensure identified talent is well developed and deployed, that succession risks are anticipated and tackled, and that workforce plans are fulfilled effectively.

The Ideal Candidate

Essential

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent HR practitioner qualification or qualified by demonstrable experience.
  • Extensive HR generalist experience and detailed understanding of all aspects of HR management.
  • Experience in employee relations.
  • Extensive knowledge of Employment Law in Ireland.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and facilitation skills
  • Well organised, responsive and able to work under pressure

Desirable

  • Experience of dealing with Trade unions
  • Mediation/negotiation skills or training.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office programmes

Package Description

Fixed term contract for a 12 month time period. 39 hours per week based at the Sodexo offices in Cork.
