HR Administrator

Job Introduction

We are currently recruiting an HR Administrator at Stoke Mandeville Hospital to provide day to day administrative and HR support to the Sodexo Healthcare team on site. The role provides the opportunity for an individual to enhance and develop their general administration skills in a busy environment.

 

Role Responsibility

  • Ensure HR administration support is provided  to the Management Team producing high quality, accurate work to strict deadlines
  • Provide support on areas such as disciplinaries and grievances, sickness and absence, new starters and leavers and taking minutes of meetings as required
  • Support the preparation of case files for disciplinary, grievance and absence cases
  • Monitor and maintain absence, Right to Work, DBS and Occupational Health referrals
  • Ensure all personnel files are kept up to date – filing on a regular basis, archiving leavers and creating files for new starters
  • Manage the HR administration systems, updating and tracking new starter recruitment and leavers and probation period trackers
  • Produce monthly and ad-hoc reports as required

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience in an administrative role preferably within an HR department
  • Experience of being proactive and reactive
  • Attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to co-ordinate workloads
  • Good IT skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience of composing letters/emails
  • Ability to prioritise own workload and work to strict deadlines
  • Interest in developing a career in HR
