Cleaning Manager

Job Introduction

We are currently looking to recruit a Cleaning Manager to overseeing the cleaning operation for one of our corporate contracts in London.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to develop their Facilities Management career

 

Role Responsibility

  • Direct Reporting to the GSM at the Shell Centre, to support the operational management of the cleaning contract at the London sites to maximize the performance of cleaning teams and to ensure the service is operated in line with company standards, policies and procedures and to contractual specifications.
  • To work under the direction of the Shell Centre GSM on all operational and staff matters
  • To have full working knowledge of contract requirements, cleaning equipment, materials and chemicals and the use of cleaning equipment and supervise the use of such equipment and chemicals
  • To train and coach supervisors and teams, ensuring all team members are competent as per the company’s requirements and relevant training packs (GREAT! / SSF) and in line with the Site training matrix
  • Hold regular supervisor and staff meeting huddles and toolbox talks to ensure clear communication within the team,
  • Monitor the performance of supervisors and teams, carry out Half Yearly & Annual PDR’s where instructed
  • Assist in the administration tasks, which may include
  • Completing the Sodexo Safety Management System documentation
  • HR tasks including disciplinary & capability investigations/hearings, performance reviews
  • Suitable Risk assessments for all tasks and cleaning equipment on site

The Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience in leading a cleaning team
  • Excellent time keeping, organisation, planning and scheduling skills
  • Understanding of various cleaning approaches and methods
  • Financial acumen and industry knowledge
  • Familiar with HR procedures
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills able to communicate with clients and staff
  • A good understanding of Microsoft office and Outlook
  • Self- motivated
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a shift pattern from 6am – 11pm Monday - Friday
