General Facilities Assistant
Job Introduction
Sodexo are looking for akey member of the Facilities Team responsible to provideexceptional customer service to at Microsoft Research in Cambridge.
This position requires an organised approach, excellent communication & planning skills. The role requires a warm, friendly & dynamic individual with the ability to multi task and always to deliver an exceptional level of service.
You will provide a professional service, whilst adhering to Sodexo policies and promoting the Company image at all times.
Role Responsibility
General preparation, cleaning and maintenance of meeting, collaboration & social space, and new starter & leaver desks/offices around the building. Liaise with other FM team members & IT support as required.
In liaison with site catering company; free issue drinks ordering, stocking & replenishment throughout the building including looking after the bean to cup coffee machines (cleaning, topping up coffee beans etc), reporting faults.
Maintaining stationery/print rooms - ordering stock, replenishing cupboards, dealing with ad-hoc orders, keeping rooms clean & tidy. Emptying print room bins & ensure waste correctly recycled.
Event support including removal, storage & set up of furniture as required. Supporting with general marketing material deliveries & storage.
Post - frank out-going post, deal with special delivery & other ad-hoc requests. Liaise with Finance on employee postal costs.
Maintain all site notice boards.
Maintain goods-in area, ensure it is kept organised and is clean & tidy. Ensure carboard is collected from around the building and recycled.
Through general building walks always keep a regular check on condition of furniture, fixtures & fittings, general tidiness of all areas, reporting and taking action as required.
Report any unsafe acts and conditions to the Facilities Manager/Co-ordinator for action and resolution.
