GMP / Industrial Cleaner - Fixed Term

Job Introduction

We are currently seeking a highly talented and driven person to work in the one of our Cork sites.

We are looking for someone with excellent organisational skills, the ability to prioritise their workload and have the ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences.

You will be working as part of a team but you will at times be expected to work independently and under your own initiative.

Role Responsibility

  • Ensure all areas are cleaned efficiently and in a timely manner to the required standards.
  • Have full working knowledge of all cleaning equipment, materials and agents and use cleaning equipment as directed by your line manager only after correct COSHH training has been given.
  • Report any equipment which is faulty, mark as faulty and do not use.
  • Report any safety hazards or inappropriate compromises to the line Manager e.g.  locked fire door, lifting flooring, lights not working etc
  • Ensure that the specified safety signage is used at all times, e.g. wet floor signs and “warn/advise” clients/fellow employees where possible.
  • Ensure that cleaning stores are kept clean and tidy and equipment stored safely at all times.
  • Comply with all security regulations for cleaning materials, equipment and buildings as laid down by client and Sodexo and report immediately any shortages or discrepancies found.
  • Ensure a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance and general cleanliness to comply with statutory and company regulations, wearing company uniform as specified

The Ideal Candidate

  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12 months cleaning experience.
  • The ideal candidate will have previous experience in GMP cleaning and have knowledge in the use of chemicals.
  • The role includes forms of strenuous physical activities and applicants must have the ability to undertake such duties.
  • MEWP certification and/or fork truck licence are a distinct advantage for the role.

The ideal candidate will be fluent and literate in the English language as there is a degree of read and understood training involved in the role, these modules will sometimes require a written assessment to be completed following training.

The role also would require completion of weekly cleaning schedules in some instances, so literacy is quite important.

Package Description

GMP / Industrial Cleaner - Fixed Term 6 months

39 hours per week - Monday - Friday
