Food Services Supervisor

Role Responsibility

  • To be responsible for all day to day aspects relating to the management and maintenance of the food service and the equipment within the contract specification to the agreed specification to the agreed performance ,qualitative and financial targets.
  • To provide services to the agreed standards in accordance with the service level agreements and key performance indicators specified within the contract.
  • To actively enforce relevant statutory, company and site H&S compliance together with high levels of food hygiene
  • To be responsible for the management of stock, staff scheduling, training and the completion of works to a satisfactory standard.
  • Ordering-ensure orders are completed in a timely fashion keep records of all orders and adhere to par levels.
  • Generate a daily and weekly report of food usage and wastage.
  • Stock management ensure all stocked items are locked and perishables rotated
  • Count stock as per trading calendar and all invoices are recorded and checked off with items ordered.
  • Ensure all documentation concerning food safety and health and safety is up to date and monitored including temperature records, delivery records, and cleaning records.
  • To ensure that staff are briefed on their duties and given daily objectives and feedback given.
  • Ensure staff are allocated duties for the smooth operation of your shift.
  • To work cooperatively with others to achieve agreed objectives
  • To assist in the development and the management of all food production including special events, functions and client requests.
  • To deliver the highest standard of customer service.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience of working in the catering and hospitality industry
  • Knowledge of catering developments and innovation
  • Good understanding of budget management
  • Experience in supervising a team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • IT literate
  • NVQ level 2 desirable
  • Must be self-motivated
  • Knowledge of food and wine desirable
