Food Services Manager

Job Introduction

This is an exciting opportunity for a Food Services Manager to join our team based at one of our Global Pharmaceutical Contracts in Stevenage, Hertfordshire.

Accountable for a Head Chef, food services Supervisors and the hospitality team you will drive operational excellence and lean thinking in Food Operations ensuring best financial outcomes and great customer service


Role Responsibility

  • Managing & motivating a team to increase sales & ensure efficiency
  •  Managing multiple priorities
  •  Relationship management maintain rapport with clients and potential clients and establish long term relationships for future sales
  •  Customer focus, the ability to provide excellent service to internal and external customers
  •  Managing finances
  •  Ensuring standards for quality with in food delivery, customer service and health & safety are met
  •  Drive profitability for both Sodexo and client through excellence in execution
  •  Lead or consult the recruitment process on key food positions defined with in the business portfolio
  •  Enhance Sodexo food credibility through effective engagement with onsite client leadership team
  •  Deliver on brand integrity with in all Sodexo run outlets
  •  Develop and implementation of site business and training plan
  •  Strength in being an ambassador of customer service at the highest level; customer service excellence
  •  Maintain compliance with client and/or program contracts for all outlets
  •  Interface with engineers, architects, contractors and project managers to ensure successful project completion

The Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience in managing and leading large dedicated food service team
  •  Expertise in retail marketing and promotional strategies
  •  Strong food knowledge relative to national and local food trends
  •  Strong financial understanding & demonstrable budgeting management
  •  Personal innovation & passion
  •  Excellent customer service experience
  •  Good interpersonal skills
  •  Strong verbal & communication skills
