Food Service Assistant / Kitchen Porter
Job Introduction
We are currently seeking a Food Service Assistant / Kitchen Porter to work in one of our Wicklow sites.
We are looking for someone with excellent organisational skills, the ability to prioritise their workload and have the ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences.
You will be working as part of a team but you will at times be expected to work independently and under your own initiative.
Role Responsibility
- Setting and cleaning of tables in Student and staff dining rooms.
- The role also has pot wash and cleaning duties on a daily basis.
- Cleaning of dining rooms and maintaining very high standards of cleanliness.
- Kitchen cleaning.
- Stock Rotation
The Ideal Candidate
As this position requires dealing with children the applicant will have to fill out a safer recruitment form and will have to be Garda vetted before starting work.
Applicant will need to drive if living outside of Bray as it is a 20 minute walk from the bus route.
- Experience in food handling, cleaning and customer service skills.
- Knowledge of Food Hygiene or HACCP.
- Customer Service – a strong commitment and track record in providing a high level of customer service in a busy environment.
- Communication – good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to relate positively to customers at all level.
- Flexibility – the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team in a rapidly changing environment.
Package Description
Food Service Assistant / Kitchen Porter
25-35 hours per week
5/6 - Monday to Saturday - Mainly afternoon work from 1- 7.30pm and all day Saturday.
