Finance Manager

Job Introduction

If you’re an experienced Finance Manager looking for a new opportunity then this could be the role for you.

If successful you will work closely with our Account Managers with regards to all financial decision making and become a true business partner for all finance needs relevant to the contract.

Role Responsibility

  • Support the Account Managers and site leads in all financial decision making and processing.
  • Completion of annual budgeting, quarterly forecast and risk and opportunities schedules.
  • Carry out detailed business reviews on a monthly basis
  • Coordinate the production and release of timely and accurate client invoices through an efficient month end process, working with operational management
  • Review site performance and provide commentary prior to declaration of financial results each month
  • Work with senior management/FSS to deliver accurate monthly accounts to reflect all activity within the business including overheads
  • Take an active role in supporting client meetings contract renewals and proposals for new and existing services.
  • Analyse performance trends and opportunities and to determine how best the insight from this work can be turned into real performance improvements in the business. 
  • Support and drive the implementation of this into the regional business e.g. driving agreed supply chain and tariff initiatives forward.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Very hands on, pro-active approach with an ability to work autonomously and at all levels
  • Positive, enthusiastic, friendly, resilient, calm manner
  • Outstanding communication skills and real ability to work well with the contract senior leadership team in a collaborative, partnering way
  • Presentation skills, ability to interact at any level of the organisation and in particular to explain results, insight and financial information to non-finance teams, challenging as appropriate
  • Educated to degree or equivalent standard with a recognised professional accounting qualification
  • Proven track record in finance (minimum 3 years’ experience)
  • Good commercial exposure and understanding of contract models and risks
  • Able to support Finance Manager and Managing Director to address commercial actions  
  • Process oriented and methodical in seeing changes worked through to completion
  • Excellent communication skills
