Job Introduction
We have an opportunity for someone to join Sodexo Sports and Leisure, looking after our Peyton and Byrne business for a period of 6 months. With sites all across London, Peyton and Byrne offer an exceptional level of food and events within some of London’s unique heritage venues. This role will provide financial management to the business, working with all stakeholders to understand the business, produce reports and provide commentary. We are looking for someone who can drive financial discipline and accountability within the contracts.

Role Responsibility
You will be involved in assisting with the preparation, production and reporting of the contract’s monthly results and maintaining all financial control procedures including revenue and cost controls. Reviewing monthly results with head of departments you will ensure
key revenue and cost drivers are highlighted whilst challenging any overspends.
In addition the role involves
• To work with the senior operations team on a day to day basis.
• Ensure accurate accounting entries in relation to cash, purchase invoices, accruals and prepayments are actioned in line with the monthly and weekly timetables.
• Oversee the completion of the weekly unit trading returns and production of full reconciliations of cash postings, supplier accounts and any outstanding customer / client debt.
• Liaise with Heads of Department to ensure all costs are accurately captured in the correct months.
• Produce insightful monthly reports for the Heads of Department to facilitate robust reviews and to action continuous improvements.
The Ideal Candidate
• A professional accountancy qualification or qualified by experience
• Good Excel and variance analysis skills
• Desirable to have good working knowledge of SAP and Essbase or other large accounting systems
• Experience of producing management accounts and producing budgets and forecasts
• Desirable to have knowledge of a high volume retail and cash environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and influence at senior levels
• Assist with the annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting and weekly flash production.
• Work proactively to identify cost saving opportunities and refine processes and procedures to ensure that the contract is well controlled and profit maximisation is sought.
• Ensure all Sodexo systems and the Sodexo supply chain are being utilised to the maximum.
