As part of this exciting period of growth, we are looking for a Finance Assistant to join our team, where you'll provide effective financial and administrative support to the Finance Manager and Operational team whilst playing a key role during the month end process.

Role Responsibility

  • Support month end journal preparation including accruals & prepayment
  • Track and drive accurate reporting of client spend (Core/Non Core) and savings performance
  • Liaise with site managers and shared services to ensure focus on contract performance
  • Highlight any issues or risks which may impact the successful delivery of the contract
  • Develop & maintain effective financial processes & reconciliations across the contract
  • Support with the completion of the Budget and Forecast process
  • Provide financial support and training to operational teams
  • Assist with the monthly reporting packs and client reporting
  • Ad hoc requests for contract information

The Ideal Candidate

Essential

  • Proficient in Microsoft packages particularly Excel
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is essential
  • Ability to work on own initiative and be proactive, working quickly and accurately under pressure whilst achieving deadlines
  • Aptitude for numerical work and analysis
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A structured but flexible manner of working with the ability to prioritise and manage your own workload
  • A team player attitude with an individual sense of ownership

Desirable

  • AAT/CIMA student or equivalent qualification is desirable
  • SAP experience is desirable
  • Previous experience within the facilities management sector is desirable but not essential
