Finance Assistant

As part of this exciting period of growth, we are looking for two Finance Assistants to join our team, where you'll provide effective financial and administrative support to the Finance Manager and Operational team whilst playing a key role during the month end process.

Role Responsibility

  • Raising of invoices and purchase orders for both core and reactive works ensuring smooth and efficient cash flow process. Dealing with any overdue invoice queries
  • Liaise with Account Managers & Management Accountant to improve contract & team performance
  • Highlight any issues or risks which may impact the successful delivery of the contract
  • Month end journal preparation including accruals & prepayments
  • Develop & maintain effective financial processes & reconciliations across the contract
  • Assist with the monthly reporting packs and Microsoft reporting
  • Ad hoc requests for contract information
 

The Ideal Candidate


You'll have the ability to prioritise, manage your own workload, be flexible, cope with demand and achieve deadlines, whilst possessing the following skills;


Essential

  • Proficient in Microsoft packages particularly Excel
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is essential
  • Ability to work on own initiative and be proactive, working quickly and accurately under pressure whilst achieving deadlines
  • Aptitude for numerical work and analysis
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A structured but flexible manner of working with the ability to prioritise and manage your own workload
  • A team player attitude with an individual sense of ownership

Desirable

  • AAT or equivalent qualification is desirable but not essential
  • SAP experience is desirable
  • Previous experience within the facilities management sector is desirable but not essential
