Finance Analyst

Job Introduction

We are currently recruiting for 2 x Finance Analyst to join our Service Operations finance team, based in Salford, Stevenage or Swindon offices. The Net Cost to Deliver Role is a very important part of the Service Operations Finance structure. This is a commercial finance role where you will support service line creation and ongoing delivery; commercial analysis support across SO platforms (Food/Soft).

You will provide and maintain robust standard “Service Line” cost modelling and databases. Develop Service Line Offers/Solutions and scenario planning examples. Analyse the financial predictability and actual performance of our Service Lines, analyse Service Line performances to identify risks and opportunities to feed back to Service Line Design Managers for their action. You will also work and liaise with bid teams and segments on supporting Solution Costing for bids.

Role Responsibility

Build and maintain robust Service Line costing capabilities including scenario planning

  • Build and maintain fully-costed Service Line costing models which include labour, materials, other direct costs and any other attributable costs

Benchmarking

  • Provide and refresh benchmark data for Service Lines.
  • Develop and own benchmark capabilities including the tools and assumptions on which benchmark data is collated/used

Continuous Improvement

  • Review the Service Line financial model to ensure it is fit for purpose and reflects changes in the market/offering that impact upon the financials

Commercial Analysis

  • Work with the platform teams and the Commercial Manager to identify commercial analysis gaps and look to complete analysis where adding-value or providing important insight.
  • Attend meetings (virtual/face-to-face), provide reports and liaise with all stakeholders on commercial analysis matters

Service Operations Finance Team Member

  • Play an active role in the SO Finance team
  • Deputise for the Commercial Manager as and when required

Net Cost to Deliver Ambassador

  • Act as an ambassador for the NCTD process
  • Ensure segments and bid teams understand what Net Cost to Deliver is and what it does
  • Develop excellent working relationships with the platform teams

The Ideal Candidate

Essential

  • Excellent analytical and financial skills
  • Strategic & creative thinking coupled with sound judgement and decision making
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills
  • Very strong interpersonal skills (presentational, public speaking, listening, influencing, diplomacy)
  • Experience in building effective relationships with external stakeholders and business partners
  • Understanding and experience in working within a large multinational company

  • Accounting qualification with proven CPD membership
  • Excellent understanding of the management and development of financial systems
  • Evidence of on-going self-development
  • Excellent ICT skills
  • Excellent people skills
