Facilities Operative (Floor Specialist)

Job Introduction

  • The Facilities Operative role is responsible for delivering cleaning services as well as other day to day facilities services to site. The key focus for this role is to ensure that all services are delivered in an effective, efficient and timely manner with least interruption to the customer.
  • All employees are required to; and are responsible to adhering to Quality, Compliance and Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) regulations and GSK or Sodexo procedures applicable to their role. Training will be provided to ensure procedures are understood and responsibilities defined. Quality and compliances non-conformances and potential quality and compliances risks to all regulations must be reported immediately to your line manager and the Sodexo compliance team. environmental, Health and safety non-conformances and potential Environmental, health and safety risks must be reported immediately to your line manager and Sodexo EHS. 

Role Responsibility

  • To provide daily cleaning services of the highest standard possible to the client.
  • To competently clean hard & soft floor services to the required standard.
  • To be competent to use any equipment that may be required to strip and reseal floors
  • Ensure regular checks of the equipment and machines used during the working day. Any faults/defects to be reported to the line manager.
  • Service, replenish stocks, clean and maintain all housekeeping areas within your allocated working area to the Sodexo required standards set out through training, ensuring customer requirements are met and their needs anticipated at all tmies.
  • Respond positively, politely and promptly to all customer reqiurements and carry out your duties in a professional and courteous manner.
  •  As and when required assist with other tasks within your capabilities and training to maintain and improve services within the premises.
  • Attend training sessions and meetings as and when required actively participating.
  • Start work on time and adhere to break times whilst on duty.
  • Represent and promote the Company wherever possible.
  • To perform any other reasonable tasks as requested by the manager.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Knowledge and experience of maintenance of hard/soft floor surfaces.
  • Machine skills desirable.
  • Knowledge of COSHH
  • Strong customer services skills
  • A strong team player, be self-motivated and work under pressure to balance conflicting deadlines is essential.
  • Communicate effectively with a wide range of customers and multi-service teams and service personnel to achieve results
