We are looking for a Facilities Coordinator based in Limerick. You would be working for a fantastic organisation that delivers a great service to their clients and above all supports and develops their employees.

The Facilities Coordinator will have strong knowledge, experience and understanding of the operation of Mechanical, Electrical and building fabric, in depth working knowledge of Health & Safety and great stakeholders management skills.

This role comes with a salary of €43,000 - €45,000 dependant on experience, annual leave, pension and further benefits are also included.

Role Responsibility

  • Coordinate and direct all activities within the assigned area.
  • Manage and control the services to the agreed specification and to the agreed performance, qualitative and financial targets
  • Supply Chain Management – ensure value for money is achieved through robust management of suppliers and measurement of performance.
  • Nurture client relationships in order to stabilise & develop them for long term partnerships
  • Identify opportunities for organic growth and new business.
  • Management of Health, Safety and Environmental Legislation relating to the building portfolio ensuring the statutory requirements are met and all records maintained up to date, with all relevant staff trained and aware in its requirements and operation.
  • Foster and set goals that drive the H&S culture for staff towards proactive rather than reactive systems.
  • Strategic and technical support – professional advice to customers, peers and team.
  • Manage services performing to the agreed budget
  • Produce savings on the budget
  • Zero Accident rate within the department
  • Maintain Near Misses within the department
  • Zero overdue CAPA actions raised; work orders and audits; staff training (Includes SOP, mandatory, EHS, General and GMP training requirements); EHS and quality actions
  • Full compliance with the permit to work and risk assessments

The Ideal Candidate

Essential

  • A recognised trade qualification or third level qualification in an engineering, construction or building related subject plus further practical experience.
  • Knowledge, experience and understanding of the operation of Mechanical, Electrical and building fabric
  • Experience of monitoring the delivery and quality of work carried out by Trade Teams and contractors, from start to completion, ensuring delivery of high quality work, getting work done “right-first-time” and achieving high customer satisfaction within budgetary targets and providing a cost effective, value for money service.
  • Significant and comprehensive experience of supervising teams of trade and craft staff and a maintenance budget
  • Experience of using software (Computer Aided Facilities Management, Microsoft office) to manage maintenance work and resources.
  • Thorough experience in managing Health and Safety risk, including but not limited to asbestos, legionella, confined spaces etc.
  • Significant experience as an Authorised Person in the Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance Industry
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety issues and requirements related to the maintenance Industry gained through experience and a qualification of IOSH or NEBOSH general certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Ability to take ownership and be accountable for all aspects of the service/repair from end-to-end, ensuring delivery within time-scales, high quality and excellent customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, using oral, written and electronic media, so that complex technical information and analysis is clearly understood and/or acted upon by wide range of recipients.
  • Being able to work outside of normal hours in an emergency needing urgent attention.
  • Must have a level of physical fitness that will allow them to inspect roof top plant rooms, climb ladders and spend large parts of the day inspecting work in areas of restricted access.
  • Will need to travel to the Cork occasionally for training and conference purposes
  • Provide cover for the General Services Manager and cleaning manager when absent from site

Desirable

  • Experience and practised skills in dealing with pharmaceutical clients.
  • Comprehensive experience of working to Service level agreements and key performance indicators. Ensuring team members comply with service obligations.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the principles and responsibilities imposed by law, codes of practice and other regulations appropriate to Health and Safety
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of sustainability in the context of land, property and the built environment.
