Facilities Assistant

Job Introduction

Sodexo Energy and Resources has an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Assistant to join our Woodgroup Team. The standard working hours are 0830 to 1700 but some evening or weekend work may be required to cover tasks that need to be completed outside of working hours.

The successful candidate will provide FM helpdesk and building maintenance support relating to the day-to-day operations of Woodgroup sites in Aberdeen and Glasgow.

Role Responsibility

• Ensuring sites are maintained to current standard (internal and external) through planned maintenance programs and day to day repairs
• Carrying out weekly/monthly/ad-hoc checks in accordance with department procedures and duly recorded
• Assisting with the planning and coordination of office moves within site(s)
• Making sure all lights and basic office facilities are working in all areas within site(s)
• Ensuring that all printers/photocopiers/faxes are operational and relevant supplies to hand
• Conducting Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) throughout site(s)
• Covering Courier, Mail Room and reception as and when required (sickness and annual leave cover)
• Maintaining cleanliness of external areas such as cycle rack & car park(s)
• Actively promoting Company safety culture during daily responsibilities at all times
• Ensuring appropriate measures are taken relating to approved Risk Assessments

The Ideal Candidate

Minimum Qualifications

• Manual Handling Training
• Risk Assessment Training
• Full UK Driving License or acceptable equivalent (Class C1 preferred)

Minimum Experience

• Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage
• Experience of Health and Safety in the workplace
• Experience of assisting with office moves from start to finish advantageous
• Experience of switchboard/mail room/courier requirements
• Portable Appliance Testing (PAT)
