Facilities Assistant - Moves & Fabric Handyman/Porter

Job Introduction

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Facilities Assistant to join our team here in Central London. 

The Successful candidate will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks including meeting room setups, office moves, decorating and fabric repairs

Working Pattern is Monday-Friday 7.30am-3.30pm or 9.30am-5.30pm

Role Responsibility

To Carry out general portering, meeting room setups and decorating duties as requested by the client via the supervisor and FM Ops Manager.

To liaise with the supervisor and FM Ops Manager on a day to day basis reporting issues relating to operations and appearance.

Painting and decorating as agreed and directed by the management.

General handyman tasks, fabric repairs, decoration, wall repairs, flooring, carpeting, ceiling tiles.

To help setting up rooms for the business day including AV equipment, setting up furniture and so forth as required by the customer.  Assist with any duties in proportion with the post for effective provision of service.

Office moves (Both in and out of normal working hours).

Furniture repairs i.e cabinets, furniture locks, chairs, desks/desk fixings.

Reporting of breakdown and faults.

Be aware of the business continuity plan for the part of the business you work in.

Assisting your own team and other teams where possible.

 

The Ideal Candidate

Essential Experience

Previous experience as a Facilities Assistant / Handyperson

Previous Experience in a Customer Facing Role

Manual Handling Ability

Able to work in a demanding busy area

Flexible / Adaptable in the approach to work/willing to travel when requested.

Friendly and approachable manner

Proactive approach to work

Ability to work on their own with minimal supervision

Sets and Maintains very high standards of delivery - attention to detail essential

Driven to complete tasks above expectations and within timeframe as per the SLAs

Diligent, Professional and Intuitive

Desirable

Basic Computer Knowledge

Painting and decorating qualification

Good Communication Skills
