Executive Head Chef

Job Introduction

We are currently seeking a highly talented and driven person to work in the one of our Dublin sites.

We are looking for someone with excellent organisational skills, the ability to prioritise their work load and have the ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences.

You will be working as part of a team but you will at times be expected to work independently and under your own initiative.

Role Responsibility

  • Deliver a consistent level of service within the company standards, to the contract specification, service offer and agreed performance, qualitative and financial targets.
  • Compliance to company and statutory regulations relating to safe systems of work, health and safety, hygiene, cleanliness, fire and COSHH.
  • Client retention and satisfaction.
  • Unit audit scores (i.e. Safeguard, EHO, Happy Heart, SAP internal audits)
  • Ability to manage a team of staff.
  • Hold CIEH and IOSH certificates.
  • To show innovation and creativity on a regular basis and to assist in developing the food service offer in line with SAP vision
  • To ensure that all costs and expenditure are within the budgeted levels as agreed between the client and Sodexo in both Dublin and Galway.
  • To carry out benchmarking exercises between Dublin and Galway on a monthly basis or as agreed with group manager.
  • To develop the food service offer in line with SAP vision to create a campus feel at both locations.
  • To co ordinate menu planning with the Waterside head chef & Galway Chef Manager to ensure quality and consistency at both locations to include; Dublin:Citywest restaurant, Waterside restaurant, Citywest café retreat, Waterside café retreat, Galway Parkmore, Galway Costa Galway Cliona
  • To establish and maintain satisfactory relationships with individuals at all levels within Sodexo and SAP.
  • To ensure the prompt and efficient preparation and service of all meals and breaks at the required time being provided to the standard of the food service offer as laid out in the SLA to the clients, customer and Sodexo satisfaction.
  • To ensure that the statutory and company standards of hygiene, health and safety are implemented and maintained to the highest standards and carry out regular checks at both locations.
  • To ensure that all statutory and company policies and procedures are implemented and maintained and communicated to the team to ensure full compliance.
  • To ensure that all food is prepared with due care and attention, particularly in regard to customers special dietary requirements and in line with current allergen legislation.
  • Motivate and lead employees to perform their roles to a high standard and in alignment to Sodexo policies and procedures

The Ideal Candidate

  • Professional catering qualification NVQ2.
  • Management of Food Hygiene
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to targets.
  • Ability to manage and lead a team.
  • Excellent team enagagement skills and experience

39 hours per week
