Events Sales Executive

Please Note: The application deadline for this job has now passed.

Job Introduction

We have an excellent opportunity for a passionate individual who is energetic, creative and resourceful. This role is responsible for increasing enquiries and bookings of events within our venues, such as Dundas Castle, Blair Castle and Royal Botanic Gardens.

Sodexo Sports & Leisure operates in several sub-segments in our UK&I business including stadia (clients include Hampden Park, Everton Football Club, Headingley), cultural destinations (including the recently acquired Peyton and Byrne contracts in Central London – some of London’s most iconic visitor attractions) and some of the most prestigious annual events such as Chelsea Flower Show, The Open Golf and Royal Ascot.  Today we operate at over 50 venues and events across the UK&I business. Partnering with our clients, we design and deliver services which improve the quality of life of our consumers and help our clients optimize their venues in terms of performance. Our services today include retail food and hospitality as well as a complete venue sales business (Prestige Venues and Events).  We have exciting growth plans to not only grow our client portfolio but also the range of services we deliver for our clients.

Role Responsibility

In this role you will be out meeting and visiting companies across the Central Belt and up to Aberdeen, understanding their events calendar and ensuring they’re aware of the fantastic portfolio of venues Sodexo has to offer. You could be speaking to a legal firm looking for their next black tie dinner, an oil business wanting to host their annual awards ceremony or a bank wanting to celebrate Christmas. Therefore you will need to research competitors and industry partner events, follow up leads coming into the Sales Hub, utilise marketing collateral and generate meetings by calling companies. This is an exciting, autonomous role that requires a proactive, tenacious individual who can promote the benefits of our fantastic venues.

The Ideal Candidate

  • A track record in a proactive sales role, able to demonstrate growth of revenue
  • A good researcher, negotiator, and client focussed approach
  • Excellent communication verbal & written skills
  • Knowledge, interest or passion in the events, catering or hospitality industry
  • Able to work in the South Queensferry office once a week.
  • Confident to present
