Events Administrator

Job Introduction

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join the Sodexo team at Aberdeen Football Club, in the role of Sales and Events Administrator to support the events team onsite.

Sodexo Sports & Leisure operates in several sub-segments in our UK&I business including stadia (clients include Hampden Park, Everton Football Club, Headingley), cultural destinations (including the recently acquired Peyton and Byrne contracts in Central London – some of London’s most iconic visitor attractions) and some of the most prestigious annual events such as Chelsea Flower Show, The Open Golf and Royal Ascot. Today we operate at over 50 venues and events across the UK&I business. Partnering with our clients, we design and deliver services which improve the quality of life of our consumers and help our clients optimize their venues in terms of performance. Our services today include retail food and hospitality as well as a complete venue sales business (Prestige Venues and Events).  We have exciting growth plans to not only grow our client portfolio but also the range of services we deliver for our clients.

 

Role Responsibility

  • To assist the Sales & Events team with administration duties including table plans, personalised menus, name cards, invoicing, event signage, function sheets and contracts.
  • To manage the internal bookings booking process
  • To gain new contacts through research of target conference & events markets as required.
  • To work with other members in the team to develop successful customer partnerships.
  • To respond to inbound sales enquiries within a particular timeframe and across a variety of formats as required.
  • To actively convert customer enquiries into confirmed sales to develop future and repeat business contributing to the profitability of the venue.
  • To deliver the brand standards of outstanding customer service whilst ensuring a clear and effective line of communication is maintained with the operational team and the rest of the venue.
 

The Ideal Candidate

  • Good phone manner
  • Flexible to work outside of office hours during events and busy periods
  • Good administration skills with attention to detail
  • Communication skills
  • Any experience in hospitality would be preferred.
