Engineering Technician

Job Introduction

We currently have an opportunity for a Engineering Technician to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a customer focused individual to join a world leading food and facilities management company, which can offer unrivalled opportunities for career progression.

Please note: This role may require you to work in confined spaces and at Height.

Role Responsibility

Work with the site-based engineering team, sub contractors and any other specialist required to attend the site for engineering related reasons. The client may require assistance from the engineering team which will be co-ordinated by the supervisor.

Provide the service delivery in line with best practice, statutory compliance and to the SLA’s for the site.

Ensure that all PPM’s and reactive tasks are completed within the allocated timeframes co-ordinating with the helpdesk for closures and extensions of tasks.

Complete the day to day operation of the maintenance department working with the GSM to ensure the client is fully aware of any maintenance activities that could impact the site operations.

  • Respond in a timely manner to verbal and written requests.
  •  Assit with monthly reports
  • First point of contact for the engineering supervisor
  •  Sign off EWS ensuring completion within allocated times and return to the helpdesk daily
  •  Carry out multi skilled activities within the engineering remit
  •  Control of sub contractors PPM visits
  •  Manage and maintain sub contractor folders ensuring all records are accurate
  •  Manage and maintain Sodexo QMS ensuring all files are up to date
  •  Take a positive lead in any internal/external audit prosess
  •  Carry out PPE audit checks
  •  Ensure all legislation is current and complied with
  •  Be responsible for critical spares stock level checks
  •  Be part of the OOH emergency on call team
  •  Be proactive in new innovations and improved systems
  •  Manage minor project works via permit issuing, monitoring H&S, Housekeeping etc
  •  Be fully aware of the contract requirements for variable and managed works
  •  Ensure all KPI’s are completed
  •  Assist other Sodexo departments when required
  •  Responsible for fleet vehicles safety, completing van condition reports, van logs etc.

  •  Low Voltage AP/CP
  •  L8 Water Quality Management
