Engineer - M&E Building Services

Job Introduction

Sodexo Corporate Services are recruiting an M&E Building Services Engineer for our client sites in Central London.

As M&E Engineer, you will join an IFM team who are responsible for the delivery of technical and soft services to our client, ensuring compliance with all relevant statutory and regulatory obligation needs.

 

 

Role Responsibility

To be part of an IFM team who are responsible for the delivery of technical and soft services to the client, ensuring compliance with all relevant statutory and regulatory obligation needs within all 3 client site locations.

Tasks scheduled within the PPM and support of reactive maintenance requests.  To include but not limited to:

  • General building repairs (Minor Works)   
  • EM lighting monthly flick tests
  • Plumbing (Minor works)
  • Drain un-blocking (Rodding)
  • Flushing of low used outlets  (Water Hygiene)
  • Monthly tap temperature testing (Water Hygiene)
  • Permit issue and sub-contractor control and supervision (escort duties)
  • First response and evaluation of building related problems
  • To maintain and control any stock of critical spares
  • Support with scheduled office moves as required

The Ideal Candidate

Essential

  • Electrical and/or mechanical apprenticeship and/or  NVQ or City & Guilds level 3 engineering maintenance or equivalent
  • A highly focused individual, who is motivated and driven by improving plant and equipment performance
  • Capable of being part of a multi-functional IFM team in a regulated environment where asset performance is a business critical requirement
  • The role holder will have a good understanding of maintenance processes, and the application of best practices in order to assist Technical Services Manager with the effective deployment of maintenance strategies in technically complex customer environments
  • Experience of risk management and the methods employed to manage engineering risks, hazards and controls.
  • Understanding the impacts of HS&R and other regulatory obligations applicable to asset management
  • The role holder will have a sound grasp of all the hard services delivered by the team and will understand the impact on their customers
  • Technical expertise in specific area of work
