Energy Solutions Manager (Sustainability)
Job Introduction
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Energy Solutions Manager to join our Hard FM team. You will proactively lead the work winning and engagement activity across all energy/sustainability products and services, providing support and implementation of services to clients relating to energy efficiency and carbon reduction. You will also manage, write and respond to all bid and support requests from the segments.
This is a very exciting role as we’ve had a number of major wins in this area so we need to grow our team. This role will suit individuals with proven experience in the energy services industry combined with the ability to manage complex tenders, as both a Bid Manager and Bid writer compiling professional responses, working to strict deadlines. The Ideal Candidate
Essential:
- Demonstrable current experience in the energy services industry.
- Ability to manage complex tenders, as both a Bid Manager and Bid writer compiling professional responses working to strict deadlines.
- Demonstrable track record of delivering profitable results and success in a similar role
- Understanding of legislative requirements, including CRC, ESOS, MEES, EPCs etc.
- Financial and commercial awareness.
- Ability to interpret energy assessments and present the benefits to clients.
- Ability to write recommendation reports and proposals to suit varying audiences.
- Takes accountability and responsibility for delivering required results.
Desirable:
- Previous experience in a sales role with a proven track record of winning energy, sustainability and water efficiency services.
- Strong interpersonal sales ability underpinned by excellent account management.
- Experience/knowledge of Building (Energy) Management Systems (BMS or BEMS).
- Experience/knowledge of ISO 50001: Energy Management Systems.
- Experience of on-site generation optimisation (Solar PV, CHP, etc).
- Familiarity with finance incentives (e.g. Feed in Tariff, Renewable Heat Incentive, Demand Side Response, Pay As You Save) and other generation initiatives.
- Financial business case development (OPEX, CAPEX, NPV, IRR).
