As an Electrical Technician you will be responsible for amongst other things:
- Distribution Boards
- Temporary Installations
- New Installations
- Portable Appliance Testing
All work is to be carried out in a safe manner and to a high standard, conforming to the IEE Regulations all statutory and legal requirements, particularly in relation to Health & Safety at Work Act and the IEE Regulations as well as site specific guidelines / requirements.
In addition to the above you be required to assist existing Sodexo team members and specialist subcontractors as and when required.

Essential Qualifications / Experience
Electricity at Work Regulations 1989
BS7671IEE 17th Edition Wiring Regulations
City and Guilds 2391-10 Inspection and Testing of Electrical Systems
Experience of Electrical maintenance / installations
Ability to use initiative and undertake core tasks independently
Technical expertise in specific area of work
Level 3 engineering maintenance or equivalent (NVQ)
Advanced fault finding and diagnostic skills
Good communications skills, ability to present engineering issues to staff and customer
Desirable Qualifications / Experience
Time served electrical apprenticeship
Portable Appliance Testing qualifications and experience
IPAF (Powered access licence)
City and Guilds 2396 Design Erection and Verification of Electrical Installations
COMPEX Hazardous Areas and Potentially Explosive Atmospheres (Modules EX01-EX04
Good understanding of engineering principles
Poses a good understanding of GMP regulations.
General building maintenance skills / experience
Must possess a proactive and can do attitude and a focus on safety.
This position is a two rotating shift pattern, one week early, the following week late Monday to Friday (07:00- 15:30) (13:30 -22:00) There is a requirement to participate on a paid on call rota.
