EMEA Quality Compliance and SHE Manager

Job Introduction

We are currently recruiting for a Quality Compliance and SHE Manager to work on our Johnson and Johnson account within corporate services. This is a home based / regional role. J&J have more than a hundred sites so you will be required to travel (at least 50% of the time) in the UK and Europe.

You will provide oversight and leadership covering quality, regulatory compliance, health, safety, risk management and business continuity across the Johnson and Johnson account. Working with regional subject matter experts and account dedicated resource to support and advice the operational teams working on the Johnson and Johnson account in accordance with regulatory guidance, company procedures and agreed objectives (Sodexo and account specific).

The ideal candidate will have a quality and/or safety Pharma background or have worked in a highly regulated industry (i.e. Nuclear / Energy) coupled with team leader experience as you will oversee a team of five in the UK and Europe. Role Responsibility

Quality & Compliance

  • Manage quality and compliance related activities and oversee compliance aspects of operational activities carried out by Sodexo for Johnson and Johnson.
  • Perform audits of all ’GxP’ services which Sodexo provide to its Pharmaceutical clients.  These services include Distribution and Logistics, Document Solutions, GMP cleaning, Pest control, Lab services, Records services, Technical lab services, contract management, waste disposal, lab instrument services and facilities management (e.g. buildings/equipment maintenance, calibration, qualification).
  • Assist with management, development and continuous improvement of the Global Quality Management System for Sodexo’s pharma business.
  • Work with client and Sodexo teams to investigate root-causes and implement corrective actions where GxP deficiencies are discovered.  Influence and coach Senior Management to ensure robust quality systems are in place.

Health, Safety & Environment

Work with dedicated account subject matter experts to -

  • Develop and deploy a global HSE policy and system framework for the Johnson and Johnson account in co-ordination with Sodexo Group Health and Safety and Johnson and Johnson EHS representatives.
  • Develop implementation tools for HSE policy and system framework for the J&J account in co-ordination with Sodexo Group Health and Safety and J&J EHS representatives.
  • Take global responsibility for HSE procedure and systems for delivered services that meets Sodexo Group Health and Safety policy and J&J EHS policy requirements where required.

 

The Ideal Candidate

  • Demonstrable Health and Safety experience with significant recent experience in senior positions.
  • Solid grounding and practical experience working in the GXP Pharmaceutical environment, particularly in laboratories and facilities management areas or a highly regulated environment (i.e. nuclear, energy).
  • Good background in auditing.
  • Team leading experience
  • Ability to write persuasive and effective reports and communications, which clearly define findings and their causes, and recommendations made.
  • Must possess strong analytical skills. The ability to systematically gather information from a variety of sources, analyze information, identify implications of data, draw appropriate conclusions, generate viable alternative solutions to a question or problem, and evaluate the consequences of choosing each alternative.
  • As this role interacts with senior client representatives, and senior Sodexo staff, excellent communications skills (verbal and written) are required, with an ability to recognise the values within different cultures and acknowledge different ways of working.

Desirable

  • Science degree
  • Other relevant major languages is an advantage
