EHS Manager (Health & Safety)

Job Introduction

Sodexo Corporate Services are recruiting a EHS Manager to join our global leading, technology provider client in Dublin.

As Health and Safety Manager, you will work in a client facing role as part of the real estate and facilities team. 

You will be required to operate the in-house EHS and Wellbeing program, while being the Operational face for EHS in the Dublin property portfolio.  

You will be the link between client and Sodexo and embrace autonomy.

With 2 remote direct reports, you will demonstrate good leadership, able to  develop, empower and motivate.

 

 

Role Responsibility

  • Promote and develop a Safety Culture which secures effective implementation of policy, procedures and responsibilities throughout the Sodexo operational delivery.
  • Management of site Action Plans following Safegard audits and statutory reportable accidents / incidents.
  • Provide a high level of operational service support to management and operational staff, establishing specific requirements, identifying and facilitating the resolution of all specific issues to provide a high level of support and add value to operations.
  • Ensure consistent application and communication of Sodexo H&S and Environmental policies, procedures, practices and initiatives, while referring to site senior management.
  • Preparation of Business Continuity Plans (Following training and use of pro forma document.)
     

The Ideal Candidate

Essential:

  • National Health and Safety Qualification
  • Chartered Membership of IOSH or working towards.
  • Excellent client/people relationship management
  • Strong communication skills
  • Able to work autonomously
  • Willingness to learn and up-skill in relation to Health Safety and the Environment.
  • University diploma and 1-year minimum experience in a facilities related role
  • Must have excellent IT skills
  • OHSAS 18001 audit experience
  • Self motivated and able to motivate others
  • Proven recent experience in Health, Safety & Risk

Desirable:

  • University Diploma or Equivalent
  • Member of IOSH
  • Experience in a client facing role
  • ISO14001 and ISO50001 audit experience
  • Extensive experience working in a large corporate technology company
  • Practical hands on facilities experience
