Duty Manager/Supervisor - Catering and Hospitality Services

Job Introduction

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Supervisor/Duty Manager to join the team at a prestigious Independent School. This is an excellent development opportunity and requires a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with excellent organisation and customer service skills.

In this role, you will work across all areas of the operation, providing support to managers and their teams with daily student feeding (catering), hospitality & events and a Café, ensuring to be proactive and flexible in order to support all areas efficiently.

 

Role Responsibility

  • Support the management team (Contract Director, Deputy Manager, Catering Manager and Hospitality Manager) to ensure the efficient coordination of the catering operation, hospitality services and a café. This a 7 day boarding school operation.
  • Ensuring all food and service is delivered to a high standard as per service level agreement, Company policy and current legislation.
  • Ensure an efficient service is provided at all times and with the day-to-day operation and support forward planning and organisation
  • Support the delivery of a hospitality operation, which includes dinners, functions and events.
  • Ensure financial documentation and accountancy of the unit (and those from suppliers) is accurate and within agreed budgeted levels
  • Implement and maintain the Statutory and Company standards of hygiene, health and safety and take any action as is necessary.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience in a similar supervisory role, ideally within a prestigious environment
  • Experience of supervising a team within a catering and/or hospitality environment
  • Excellent Customer service skills and client focus
  • Flexible and “hands on” approach to work
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate at all levels of an organisation
  • Knowledge of Food Hygiene and Health & Safety
