Domestic Team Leader (Cleaning Team Leader)

Job Introduction

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Domestic Team Leader for Queens Hospital, Romford.

You will assist in the management of a high quality, timely, responsive, cost-effective and pro-active domestic service to meet the needs of the wards and departments.

Role Responsibility

  • Deploy a team of domestics, assessing workload schedules and allocating resource as required whilst prioritising urgent requests.
  • Draw up weekly staff rotas.
  • Supervise the work of all domestics staff in order to maintain and deliver a quality service according to set work schedules and procedures.
  • Undertake weekly monitoring of quality control systems for the domestics service through appropriate IT systems as instructed.
  • Undertake appropriate remedial action in areas that do not meet the required standards.
  • Control and issue all domestics equipment and materials within budget limits.
  • Ensure that all domestics materials and equipment are kept clean, hygienic and maintained.  Ensure that all materials and equipment are always locked away when not in use.
  • Control the receipt and issue of domestics materials and equipment ensuring clear stock control at all times.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with staff, clients and other departmental supervisors.
  • Assist in, organise and implement appropriate training in line with personal development plans and divisional business plans.
  • Recommends changes to Domestics policy and service delivery, implementing changes as appropriate in consultation with Domestic Manager and Facilities Manager.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience of managing a team
  • Previus experience working in the cleaning/domestic industry

Package Description

20 hours per week

4pm - 8pm - 5 days out of 7 - Rota basis
